Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans, Louisiana

Slosky & Company coordinated the asbestos and lead-based paint abatement during the conversion of the historic Maison Blanche department store into the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Canal Street. The abatement was conducted while preserving architectural features to take advantage of historic tax credits.

200 Carondelet (former American Bank Building), New Orleans, Louisiana

The 24-story office building, shown left and below, has been renovated into apartments following asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold abatement. Built in 1929, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Its renovation preserved the historic stylized exterior while installing a state-of-the-art interior supporting today’s urban lifestyle. The building includes a fitness center, high-speed internet WiFi, a business center, valet parking, and concierge.

MLK Tower, Atlanta, Georgia

Asbestos and lead-based paint abatement was conducted in this 12-story residential tower as part of a major renovation for apartments.

One and Two Columbus Place, New York, New York

Asbestos and lead-based paint abatement, underground storage tank removal, and contaminated soil excavation was conducted for the demolition of the historic Roosevelt Hospital, to make room for the construction of two 51-story residential towers.

Mold and Moisture Investigations

Investigation of mold and moisture issues in multi-family residential properties included inspections, evaluations, bulk and air sampling, remedial oversight, and preparation of operations and maintenance (O&M) programs. Aspects investigated included water intrusions during construction and post-occupancy health-related concerns. Based on the evaluation, a water intrusion evaluation and phased investigation approach was developed for onsite personnel and/or third party implementation.
